In the NHL playoffs last night…
- The Canadiens slipped past the Lightning 3-2. Montreal leads that series 2-1.
- The Mammoth mauled the Golden Knights 4-2. Utah is up 2-1 in that set.
- The Ducks routed the Oilers 7-4. Anaheim takes a 2-1 series lead.

- The Senators host the Hurricanes. Carolina leads that series 3-0.
- The Wild welcome the Stars. Dallas holds a 2-1 series lead.

MLB
Nathaniel Lowe’s two-run homer off Kenley Janson with two out in the bottom of the ninth gave the Reds a 9-8 victory over the Tigers last night. Riley Greene, Javier Báez, Spencer Torkelson and Kerry Carpenter homered for Detroit. Framber Valdez threw four scoreless innings, but left as Cincy scored twice in the fifth. After a sixth-inning rain delay, Will Vest and Brant Hurter combined to give up four runs in the seventh.
The Tigers visit the Reds again tonight. Jack Flaherty will start against Brady Singer. Coverage will begin at 6:50 on 99.3 The Lift.
Paul Skenes allowed just one hit over seven innings, as the Pirates blanked the Brewers 6-0. Brandon Woodruff surrendered three runs over five frames, and took the loss.
The Crew host the Pirates again tonight. Mitch Keller will pitch against Jacob Misiorowski.
Milwaukee called utilityman Tyler Black and pitcher Shane Drohan up from Nashville yesterday. Pitcher Carlos Rodriguez was sent down, and outfielder Luis Matos was designated for assignment.
NFL
On the second night of the NFL Draft…
- The Lions traded up to take Michigan edge rusher Derrick Moore in the second round. He led the Wolverines in sacks last season. They had no third-round pick.
- The Packers selected South Carolina cornerback Brandon Cisse in the second round, then traded up to get Missouri defensive tackle Chris McClellan in the third.
The Draft wraps up today with rounds four through seven. The Lions have six selections, and the Packers have five.
The Packers also extended the contract of receiver Jayden Reed yesterday. It’s a three-year deal worth north of $50 million.
