The City of Houghton seeks vendors for the 2026 Locavore festival.
The city of Houghton has helped kick off the Copper Country’s annual farmer’s market season with a fun festival at the waterfront pier.
Throughout the farmer’s market season, residents and visitors stopping in Calumet, Hancock or Houghton will see local artisans and food producers. Many of whom will also help fill up the pier in Houghton during the Locavore festival.
Vendors as part of the event will need to register with Locavore for a 10-foot by 10-foot space. Registration for vendors will cost $15.
The festival will set up along the Portage Canal, between the Portage Lake District Library and the Lakeshore Center on May 23. Attendees will enjoy music, shopping with local producers, art and food.
Those interested in participating in Locavore should contact Houghton city clerk Amy Zawada with any questions. Those interested in registering as a vendor can find more information online.
