The portage health auxiliary’s annual lights of love event will occur in November. The annual lights of love gathers and places the names of loved ones lost in the past year on a banner placed in the UPHS portage hospital lobby.
Donations to display a name on the banner this year will cost five dollars and support medical worker scholarships for students graduating from schools in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties.
Organizers ask those interested in having a loved one remembered as a part of the lights of love contact Barb Worrall by November 3rd. Paper forms for the lights of love are available at the UPHS Portage hospital in the gift shop area.
The Lights of love will lift the banner and light the UPHS portage lobby Christmas tree on November 20th.
