Despite last week’s unseasonably warm temps, winter will return to the Keweenaw Peninsula. With the return of the snow, also comes the return of Snowsports in the Copper Country.
Each new snow sports season means plenty of people will get an opportunity to try out a new hobby or rediscover an excuse to embrace winter. On Saturday the Copper Country Snowsports Club holds the annual winter gear sale. The event supports the club’s youth sports programs, including events and equipment. Even if you’re not into cross country skiing anymore, you can support the Copper Country Snowsports Club’s gear sale by donating equipment on Friday or checking out gear for sale to get into Snowshoeing.
The regular sale will begin at 11am on Saturday. Pick up for unsold gear will begin at 2 pm.
