Julio Rodríguez’s RBI double off Tommy Finnegan in the bottom of the eighth gave the Mariners a 3-2 victory over the Tigers yesterday. Tarik Skubal did his part, allowing just two solo Jorge Polanco homers over seven innings. The Tigers tied the game in the top of the eighth on a two-run double by Spencer Torkelson.
That series is tied 1-1, and continues tomorrow in Detroit. Jack Flaherty will start against Logan Gilbert. Coverage will begin at 3:40 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Blue Jays outslugged the Yankees 13-7 to take a 2-0 lead in the other ALDS.
The Brewers host the Cubs in game two of their National League Divisional Series tonight. Milwaukee is up 1-0. Aaron Ashby will pitch against Shota Imanaga.
The Dodgers and Phillies play game two of their set tonight in Philadelphia.

The Bucks play their first exhibition game this evening at Miami.
NFL
The Lions clobbered the Bengals 37-24 yesterday. Detroit carried a 28-3 lead into the fourth quarter. Jared Goff was nearly perfect, completing 19 of 23 passes for 258 yards and three touchdowns. David Montgomery ran for one score, and passed for another. Cincinnati quarterback Jake Browning threw three TD passes, along with three interceptions.
The Vikings outscored the Browns 21-17 yesterday morning in London. In last night’s contest, Andy Borregales’ 52-yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining gave the Patriots a 23-20 victory over the Bills.
In tonight’s game, the Chiefs visit the Jaguars. Coverage on 99.3 The Lift will start at 7:30.
