The search continues for a Lower Michigan man who was reported missing in Houghton County Friday evening.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Department says the 82-year-old man was hunting with family and friends in the Winona area. Companions reported that he left their camp around 4:30 in the afternoon on his 2025 Polaris Ranger to bait his bear stand.
Searchers located the ORV, and found the man’s baiting bucket and trail camera about 150 feet away, but they have not located the man himself.
Agencies participating in the search include Keweenaw Search and Rescue, Superior Search and Rescue, Baraga County Search and Rescue, the Michigan State Police, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, and the Twin Lakes Fire Department.
