In 2025 Michigan Technological University’s Psychology and Human Factors Department set a department record for research funding.
This past academic year the psychology department received 2 million dollars for research projects, programs, and studies. The year also marks the psychology department’s 20th year on campus.
Psychology and Human Factors Department chair Kelly Stellman says the team’s research spans a wide range across disciplines from transportation to artificial intelligence. She adds the department works on exciting and groundbreaking research led by faculty with driven students gaining engaging opportunities to learn and develop skills.
Michigan Technological University established its psychology department in 2004 and provides education for two Bachelor of Science degrees and offers a Master of Science in Applied Cognitive Science and Human Factors.
