Torch Lake Federal Credit Union will merge with the Peninsula Federal Credit Union. At the Torch Lake Federal Credit Union’s annual meeting in March, the financial institution announced it would merge with the Escanaba-based Peninsula FCU in July. The two institutions began talks of a merger three years ago. Members of both credit unions overwhelmingly voted to approve the entities coming together.
Under the name Peninsula Federal Credit Union, TLFCU will continue to provide financial members exceptional services. Torch Lake’s current staff will remain at the Laurium office. In addition to continuing services for members, Torch Lake Federal Credit Union says the merger will expand the services it can offer, including Interactive teller machines, in-house mortgage services, financial counseling, and more.
