Breakwater Federal Credit Union has spent the past year working with students to develop financial literacy skills. Before the new school year begins, the credit union will continue engaging students through financial education programming.
Breakwater offers multiple ways for young people to learn about money management. Portage Lake District Library will host interactive story time programs with Breakwater during the year, while the credit union organizes Financial Reality Fairs, entrepreneurship activities and classroom visits for older students.
“My favorite part of financial education programming begins with breaking down complicated topics for easier understanding and gearing those programs to engage young people in the Copper Country,” said Kayleigh White with Breakwater Federal Credit Union.
