Breakwater Federal Credit Union has extended the deadline for its scholarship applications to Monday as high school seniors prepare for college.
The financial institution plans to award three $1,500 scholarships in 2026 to student members planning to enroll at a college, university, vocational or trade school during the 2026-2027 academic year.
One of the three scholarships has been reserved to support a student who will become the first in their family to attend college.
A committee will review applications from eligible students who submit an essay and two reference letters — one from a school-affiliated individual and another from the student’s wider community.
The deadline for the Breakwater Federal Credit Union scholarship has been extended to April 7. More details are available online.
