An anonymous donation will match support for Finnish American cultural preservation and the Finnish American Heritage Center in Hancock. On Thursday the Finlandia Foundation National announced it has received an anonymous donation that has been pledged to support the Finnish America Heritage Center. The donation will match up to 100,000 dollars in donations collected by the heritage center until the end of the year. All funds raised during the Making History Challenge will support the Finnish American Heritage Center and its team’s efforts to preserve archiveal pieces sharing the story of Finnish immigration to the United States, and the Copper Country.
