M-26 and Canal Road signal will transition to a flashing yellow light

The M-26 and Canal Road traffic signal will transition to a flashing yellow for the winter. The Michigan Department of Transportation announced it will place the traffic signal on M-26 at the Canal Road intersection in Houghton into a flash mode starting next week. On Tuesday, drivers will continue to obey traffic laws but will not need to stop and wait for a green light on m-26 when passing the canal road intersection.
