The 47th annual Keweenaw Bay Indian Community Maawanji’iding begins this evening.
Commonly known as the Summer Powwow, the three-day gathering will feature dancing, drumming, and traditional Ojibwe food and crafts.
Grand entries will be held tonight at 7, tomorrow at 1 and 7, and Sunday at 1. All activities will take place at the KBIC Powwow Grounds, off US-41 north of Baraga.
