Dietrich Enns struggled in his second start for the Tigers, as they suffered an 11-7 loss to the Nationals last night. Detroit opened an early lead, plating three in the top of the first on Spencer Torkelson’s 19th home run of the season. Washington responded with five runs in the bottom of the inning. Enns hung in until the first batter in the fifth inning reached base on an error. He was charged with eight runs – seven earned.
The Tigers visit the Guardians tonight. Reese Olson will return from the injured list to pitch against Slade Cecconi. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Brewers fell to the Mets 3-2 last evening. Jose Quintana pitched into the sixth, gave up all three New York runs, and took the loss. Andruw Monsaterio hit his first home run of the season.
The Brewers visit the Marlins tonight. Quinn Priester will start against Sandy Alcantara.
