Houghton County Sheriff arrests a Wisconsin man suspected of stealing a vehicle in Calumet Township.
On Monday afternoon Houghton County sheriff deputies investigated a complaint at the Circle K Gas Station.
Law enforcement was informed a male subject attempted to steal two separate automobiles and fled before deputies arrived. Later in the day, a food pick-up was reported stolen from Calumet township.
At approximately 10 am Tuesday, law enforcement located the stolen Ford pickup truck and a male individual. Officers conducted a traffic stop in Florida Location after receiving a tip from the local police department. The individual has been lodged in the Houghton County jail.
Houghton County Sheriff was assisted by the Michigan State Police, Laurium village police department, and the Keweenaw County Sheriff’s Office.
