The Parade of Nations committee announces the 2025 essay and logo contest award winners. The excitement has already started building for the annual return of students to Michigan Tech’s campus. The Parade of Nations, helping to jumpstart the semester, will welcome the school’s international students to the community and their home for the next nine months.
Games around the world were chosen as the 2025 theme and were perfectly depicted by Graciana Wagner of Lake Linden High School. Wagner created a whimsical illustration of a favorite children’s game, known by many names around the world, Duck Duck Goose.
In the essay contest, Calumet High School student Carter Worm shared his experience recently working with Michigan tech students and researchers at the APS lab. Both students will receive scholarship awards for their winning submissions.
Those interested in viewing the Wagner logo design or want to learn more about Worm’s experience with the Advanced Power Systems lab can find more details here.
