The Tigers’ bats were quiet yesterday, in a 6-1 loss to the Rangers. Reese Olson struggled through four innings, giving up three runs on seven hits. Detroit’s only run came off a Spencer Torkelson sacrifice fly in the ninth inning.
The Tigers host the Red Sox tonight. Jackson Jobe will pitch against Tanner Houck. Coverage will begin at 6:15 on 99.3 The Lift.
The Brewers broke their two-game losing streak with 4-2 victory over the Rays. Christian Yelich and William Contreras hit back-to-back homers.
The Brewers visit the Guardians tonight. Freddy Peralta will start against Ben Lively.
Milwaukee has sent struggling starter Tobias Myers down to Nashville. Reliever Elvis Peguero has been called up. The move opens a spot in the starting rotation for Brandon Woodruff, who is expected to be activated this week.
