The Bill Nicholls Trail impacted by spring thaw flooding and a washout will reopen.
Yesterday MI TRALE announced a DNR work crew was able to repair a culvert washout on Wednesday. The Bill Nicholls trails near M26 in Mass City was impacted by a culvert washout in late April,
Despite the trail section in Mass City reopening, MI TRALE reminds riders that Bill Nicholls Trail between M 26 and the Adventure Mine remains closed due to large ice build up on the bridge. The club anticipates warmer weather will melt ice this week.

Much of the Copper Country’s ATV trails will open after May 15th. Trails in the region typically open later than the statewide ATV season so trails can dry out from spring thaw conditions.
