Lifelong residents warned new neighbors not to pull out the grill quite yet. Yesterday another inch of snow fell in the Keweenaw peninsula. Bringing the season up to 315.25 inches of snow, calculated by the Keweenaw County Road Commission.
Still, the fourth snowiest winter on record, 2025 delivered an additional 20.5 inches during April. 35 inches of snowfall set April’s monthly record snowfall in 1907. The month has now broken the 20-inch snowfall threshold eight times.
