Gerald John Tuovila, 85, of Laurium, Mich. Passed away at home peacefully with family by his side. Gerald was born in Laurium on July 2, 1939 to Alfred and Lulu (Bodi) Tuovila.
He attended the CLK Schools and went on to earn a Master Plumbing License and started Kauppi-Tuovila Plumbing and Heating. Before retirement, Jerry also worked with Martineau & Morris Contracting.
Jerry is survived by his wife Patricia, son John and his wife Brenda Tuovila, daughter Laura Neumann, and grandchildren Josh (Alison) Tuovila, James Tuovila, and Body and Brooke Neumann, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his son Brian and is the last of his seven siblings. Jerry was anticipating the birth of twin great-grandchildren of Josh and Alison.
His love for family and subtle sense of humor will be missed by those who knew him. Jerry was a man of deep faith and looked forward to being with the Lord. Jerry was a member of the Shining Light Church in Laurium.
Funeral services will be held on December 14th, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Shining Light Church in Laurium with Pastor Jay Weidner officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am – 11:00 am on December 14th, 2024 at the Shining Light Church in Laurium.
